Audi Q3

The 3rd generation of Audi's best-selling car, both in India and globally, was revealed on June 17, 2025. It's hard to differentiate it from the new Audi Q5, as both look quite similar. After all, its essentially a compact version of the Q5. However, there was a more obvious difference between the 2nd-gen Q3 and the then Q5. Now, onto the main story - its crash test report.

The 3rd-generation Audi Q5 has scored a perfect 5-star rating in the Euro NCAP tests, and the great part is that all its variants have received this rating. Be it any engine or powertrain, if you're planning to buy this car, you can be fully assured that you'll be driving a truly safe vehicle - tested by the best in the business.
A little detail - in terms of adult occupant protection, it scored 35.0 points, and 42.5 points in child occupant protection. These scores are given out of a total of 49 points.

Engine Spec
This small SUV, for the first time ever, will come with a Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) system, featuring a 25.7 kWh battery pack that offers 119 km of electric range. However, this PHEV version won't be coming to India anytime soon, so let's not dive into its details for now. The engine most likely to be offered is the 2.0L four-cylinder paired with a seven-speed S tronic gearbox, delivering 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque. On top that, this one gets the quattaro setting.
Lastly, there's another engine mentioned in the press note - a 1.5L TFSI with mild-hybrid technology delivering 150 PS. This engine comes with cylinder-on-demand technology, where the second and third cylinders temporarily shut down at low speeds to improve efficiency. Let's see whether Audi will bring this engine to the lineup in India.
