Audi SQ8

The difference between the SQ8 and the Q8 is minimal at the exterior level. The upcoming model features more chrome elements, which elevate its road presence and give it a more regal appearance. In contrast, the regular Q8 gets several piano-black finish elements at the front, sides, and rear. This creates an interesting contradiction in terms of design, as the standard model appears sportier despite not featuring the powerhouse V8 engine.

That said, the upcoming model features S badging, quad exhaust tips, and most likely larger alloy wheels of 21 inches. The main talking point of this SUV is the 4.0L twin-turbo V8, making 507 PS and 770 Nm of peak-torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it does 0 to 100 km/l in 4.1 seconds.
This car will launch on March 17th, 2026 and it is expected to cost around Rs 2.5 Cr (ex-showroom).

Verdict
The Audi SQ8 sits neatly between the standard Q8 and the hardcore RS Q8, offering a balanced mix of luxury and performance. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 delivers 507 PS and 770 Nm, giving the large SUV strong acceleration while retaining everyday usability and comfort.
For buyers who want a powerful V8 SUV without stepping into the extreme RS territory, the SQ8 positions itself as a compelling middle ground - blending performance, premium appeal, and practicality in one package.
