Upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-Door Test Mule Spotted - Front Design Visible

Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to launch a few new models to enhance its SUV portfolio. One of the upcoming vehicles is a Thar 5-door. The upcoming 5-door Thar has been spotted several times, and this time the front profile of the same has been spotted. The Thar is one of the most affordable off-roaders available in the Indian market. At present, it only comes in a three-door configuration. With the launch of the Mahindra Thar 5-door, the brand will be able to lure more customers toward this lifestyle UV.

The Thar 5-door's front profile has now been discovered on highways after the vehicle's rear profile was spotted a few days ago. The latest spy pictures clearly show how the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door would seem. The vehicle's front profile resembles the smaller 3-door version. The front design is characterised by the raked windshield, same round headlamps, a striking six-slat grille, and a broad, substantial bumper. The same five-spoke alloy wheels with large wheel arches will be offered on the side, and the A-pillar will feature large ORVMs.

The upcoming 5-door That will share the same platform as the newly launched Scorpio N In order to provide a comfortable and smooth ride, it may also include the same Penta Link suspension configuration as the Scorpio N.

We can expect the same 2.0-liter petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engines paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions as far as the engine is concerned. The forthcoming Thar 5-door could come in two variations: one with RWD and the other with 4x4. Though at this point, this is simply conjecture. The RWD model might appeal to more customers with big families that simply want a lifestyle UV for city driving rather than off-roading.

The Mahindra Thar 5-door's launch date is yet unknown, but it is anticipated to happen sometime in 2023.
