The Tata Tiago is one of the safest hatchbacks in the country and boasts a great build quality in addition to an attractive design. The Tata Tiago is powered by a 1.2-L Revotron engine that comes mated to a five-speed manual as well as an automatic gearbox. The brand is said to be working on a CNG version of the vehicle that will be powered by the same 1.2-L engine. While more details are yet to be revealed, the Tata Tiago CNG is expected to be launched in mid-2022. Apart from this, the brand may also launch a CNG version of the Tigor soon to give tough competition to the rivals like Hyundai Aura CNG.
Tata is currently offering one of the most affordable electric vehicles in the market and may also introduce an electric version of the Punch soon in the market. The market is now shifting towards electric cars and small, affordable, and practical electric cars will definitely attract a lot of buyers. Once launched, the Tata Punch is expected to be the most affordable electric car in India. The official launch of the car is expected to happen in the second half of 2022.
An attractive exterior design, comfortable cabin, and a five-star safety rating help the Tata Altroz give tough competition to the rivals like the Hyundai i20 and the Maruti Baleno. The brand revealed the Altroz EV at the AutoExpo 2020 and promises to offer a practical and impressive experience to the buyers of this premium electric hatchback in India. The Altroz is expected to feature the same powertrain that we also see on the Tata Nexon EV. The Tata Altroz EV is expected to be priced from INR 12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be the first premium hatchback to be offered with an electric powertrain.
The Tata Harrier and the Tata Safari are some of the finest SUVs in the market right now and boast a powerful engine, commendable build quality, and a feature-rich cabin. However, unlike many other rivals like the new Mahindra XUV700 and MG Hector, the Harrier and the Safari are only available with a diesel engine. The brand is said to be working on a new turbo petrol engine that is expected to be offered with a manual as well as an automatic gearbox. More details however can only be confirmed once the brand releases an official statement for the same.
