Performance Upgrade Likely: Engine Tweaks from RR 310 Expected

The previous update to the TVS Apache RR 310 brought in functional aero winglets and other refinements. For the Apache RTR 310, the upcoming update could include similar additions, aimed at improving both aesthetics and performance. Riders may also get minor tech upgrades and refinement improvements as part of this refresh. The TVS Apache RTR 310 already packs a host of modern features, including a fully digital TFT instrument cluster that displays essential ride data, smartphone connectivity for navigation, calls, and music control, and multiple riding modes. It also comes equipped with all-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS for added safety, and tubeless tyres.

The Apache RTR 310 shares its 312cc single-cylinder engine with its siblings, the BMW G 310 RR and the Apache RR 310, developed as part of the TVS-BMW collaboration. Last year, TVS updated the Apache RR 310 with engine modifications such as a higher compression ratio, a bigger throttle body, a larger airbox, and a lighter piston. These changes pushed the RR 310s output to 38hp and 29Nm of torque. Currently, the RTR 310 makes 35.6hp and 28.7Nm, and this updated tune is expected to carry over, offering a noticeable bump in performance. There's also a possibility that visual enhancements like a transparent clutch cover, seen on the RR 310, could be added to the RTR as well.

With the anticipated updates, a slight price increase is likely. However, TVS is expected to retain its wide range of optional extras through its customisation program, offering a wide array of choices to choose from.
Verdict
The Apache RTR 310 has already made a name for itself as one of the most aggressive and tech-laden options in the sub-400cc naked bike segment. With this upcoming update, TVS is expected to fine-tune its formula, offering more power, better refinement, and optional extras to stay competitive. For enthusiasts seeking a sharp, sporty machine with solid street performance, the refreshed Apache RTR 310 is shaping up to be an even more lucrative package.
