2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 with Ride Modes

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has always been a very good and feature-rich motorcycle. It was first launched in India in January 2017. Over the years, it has received multiple updates and new features have been added. But, with these new big updates that have been made today, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 has now become the most feature-loaded motorcycle in India under the sub-2 lakh rupees price bracket. Talking about the new add-ons, the new 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 now comes with segment-first Ride modes. It gets three riding modes - Sport, Urban and Rain.

The motorcycle also gets a dedicated switch on the handlebar to change the ride modes. These new riding modes will alter the engine characteristics, throttle response and working of the anti-lock braking system (ABS) on the motorcycle. Also, there will be a slight improvement in fuel-efficiency in the Urban and Rain modes. What's further interesting is that these modes can be switched on the fly and one need not stop their motorcycle to change the modes. The new Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 also gets segment-first three-step adjustable levers and new premium Showa front forks with pre-load adjustment.

Along with these new feature add-ons, the Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 also gets a new Matte Blue colour variant. The company has not made any changes in the mechanicals of the motorcycle and it remains the same as before. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 197.75cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that gets Race-tuned (RT-FI) fuel-injection technology too. This motor churns out 20.5 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 16.8 Nm of peak torque at 7500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It also gets GTT or Glide Through Technology feature that offers a better low-speed urban riding. The Apache RTR 200 4V even has an all-digital instrument cluster that displays a ton of information and gets TVS' Smart Xonnect system too.
