So, now as you have seen in those tables listed above, the price of the petrol variants of the new Ford EcoSport starts at Rs. 7.99 lakhs and it goes all the way up to Rs. 11.19 lakhs. The diesel variants of this sub-4-metre compact SUV on the other hand, are now priced between Rs. 8.69 lakhs - Rs. 11.49 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. Ford has not only slashed the prices of the EcoSport in the Indian market but, there are some other major changes too. For example, the Titanium variant of the EcoSport will now get an electric sunroof. Also, some variants of the SUV have been discontinued. For instance, the Titanium AT, Thunder MT and Titanium+ MT variants of the EcoSport Petrol have been discontinued. Ford has also discontinued the Thunder MT and Titanium MT variants of the EcoSport Diesel.

Talking about the powertrain options, so the new Ford EcoSport is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This petrol motor churns out 122 PS of power at 6500 RPM and 149 Nm of peak torque at 4500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It also gets a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This oil-burner churns out 100 PS of power at 3750 RPM and 215 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM. It comes mated a 6-speed manual gearbox only.
