2022 Maruti Brezza Receives Over 70,000 Bookings - What Makes It So Popular?

The popularity of compact SUVs in the Indian market is unmatched and Maruti Brezza is one example. The new model was launched a few months ago and has already got over 70,000 bookings. Even sans diesel motor, the Brezza has surely received an overwhelming response from the Indian market. We find just that out in this article!

Under the hood, the new Brezza gets a 1.5-litre, K10C petrol engine. This Dual-Jet petrol motor belts out 102 bhp of power with a peak torque of 136.8 Nm. The power and torque figures might not be the highest in the segment but it is definitely a refined motor and delivers a good real-world fuel economy too.

This engine gets mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and a 6-speed auto as an option. The ARAI-certified fuel economy sticks to 20.15 kmpl for the manual and 19.89 kmpl for the automatic gearbox.

Feature-wise, the all-new Brezza now gets an electric sunroof, 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, head-up display, 360-view camera, LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lights and more.

Safety equipment on the new Brezza includes six airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, front seat-belt reminder, speed-sensing door locks, a high-speed alert system, hill-hold assist and more.

Maruti Brezza is priced from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 13.96 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It competes with other compact SUVs like Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Kia Sonet.
