After a two-year hiatus, Skoda will bring back the Kodiaq with a facelift on January 10, 2022. The new SUV will come with a 190 hp, 2.0-liter TSI engine, alongside a revised exterior and interior.
Skoda Auto India will finally launch the BS6-compliant Kodiaq to India on January 10, 2022. The official ex-showroom price will also be announced then, however, unofficial bookings have already started in select Skoda dealerships and deliveries will commence from January 14.
Skoda had discontinued the Kodiaq from the Indian market in April 2020 due to BS6 norms. It also used to come with a diesel engine only, and Skoda had also announced that it will boast a petrol-only line-up. 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift: Exterior and Interior Design, Features
The facelift Kodiaq has already been spotted testing in India, fully undisguised. Initial impressions are quite strong and impressive as before, for the cosmetic changes are not that radical. For example, the new multi-slat butterfly grille feels well complimented by the slimmer LED headlights, and new LED DRLs. Both the front and rear bumper gets redesigned, with a new end-to-end mesh grille. The rear fascia has also been updated to with a roof-mounted spoiler, and a sculpted tailgate that features almost similar wrap-around LED tail lamps.
India is likely to get only one single top variant of the Kodiaq, so it which will come with 20-inch sized wheels as standard.

The cabin is also expected to have a fresh touch. It will feature the same two-spoke steering wheel design that we have seen in the new Kushaq. Furthermore, it will also come with an updated 9.2-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. In addition, the facelift Kodiaq will also get new massage front seats, along with an environmentally-friendly eco seat option, as well. A premium 10-speaker Canton Sound system will be a standard offering as part of the package.

2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift: Engine and Transmission
One of the most important changes that the 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift will come with is under its hood. Before it was discontinued, the Kodiaq would come with a 150 bhp 2.0-liter diesel engine. But next year, the new SUV will adhere to Skodas petrol-only lineup, therefore, it will come fitted with a 2.0-liter TSI engine only, that produces 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque. The same unit is also available with the Superb and Octavia. Transmission duties will be handled by a 7-speed automatic gearbox alongside an all-wheel-drive unit.

2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift: Price and Competition
The 2022 Kodiaq will compete in a segment that will include the likes of the Jeep Meridian (yet-to-be-launched) and the Citroen C5 Aircross So, expect the prices of the Skoda to be somewhere above Rs. 35 lakhs.
