Fresh Design, Familiar Shape
From the teasers, it's clear Renault is following an evolutionary approach rather than a complete redesign. The SUV retains its overall silhouette but picks up modern touches like a new grille design, the company's updated 2D diamond logo, and C-shaped LED tail lamps with revised internals. A striking lime green paint option was also showcased, adding a youthful vibe to the lineup. Minor changes to the bumpers and a split-headlamp layout are expected, keeping the SUV aligned with Renault's latest design language.
Cabin and Features
Inside, Renault is expected to focus on comfort and technology. Anticipated updates include refreshed upholstery, soft-touch materials, and a mildly reworked dashboard. Feature upgrades could bring an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and automatic climate control. Safety will also see improvements, with six airbags likely to become standard, enhancing the SUVs credentials against newer rivals.
Powertrain Options
Mechanically, the 2025 Kiger will remain unchanged. It should continue with the same engine choices:
- 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (72 hp) with manual or AMT gearbox.
- 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (100 hp) paired with either a manual or CVT.
While no factory CNG version is confirmed yet, a dealer-fitted option could be offered for those seeking lower running costs. The SUV will continue to be based on the CMF-A+ platform, which it shares with the Nissan Magnite.
Pricing and Competition
The facelifted Renault Kiger is expected to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing version, starting around Rs. 6.2 lakh and going up to about Rs. 11.5 lakh for the top trim. In this bracket, it will compete against strong performers in the segment, including the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and its platform sibling, the Nissan Magnite.
