2025 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

TVS Apache RTR has long been a symbol of budget performance motorcycling in India. Now, along with celebrating the 20th year of the Apache legacy, TVS has brought subtle updates in design and software as well. At first glance, you'll notice refreshed graphics along with eye-catching red alloy wheels. It is available in three colour options: Glossy Black,
Matte Black and Granite Grey. While coming to the hardware, it gets 37mm Upside Down (USD) front forks, which significantly improve front-end feedback and handling. Adding to that, it has got a Hydroformed Handlebar, which looks cleaner.

Performance

While the engine remains unchanged, it continues to be powered by the same 197.75cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is now OBD-2B compliant. When it comes to numbers, it belts out 20.8 PS and 17.25 nm of torque. However, for added convenience, it now gets a slipper clutch along with adjustable clutch and brake levers.

Meanwhile, the tech package is largely carried over, too. Yes, it still gets the same LCD digital instrument cluster along with TVS Smart Xonnect with Bluetooth and voice-assist. Moreover, it continues to offer three riding modes: Urban, Sport and Rain, along with dual-channel ABS with with Rear Lift-off Protection for control during high-speed braking.

Moreover, the 2025 Apache RTR 200 4V is available at a starting price of Rs 1.53 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 5000 costlier than the outgoing model.

Verdict

The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V may not be a ground-breaking update, but it does just enough to stay relevant. With subtle styling tweaks, improved front suspension, and enhancements like a hydroformed handlebar and slipper clutch, it continues to be a solid pick for performance-focused commuters. At Rs 1.53 lakh, it still delivers great value, though existing Apache owners might not find it compelling enough to upgrade.
