Audi India has recently confirmed that it will assemble the upcoming Q6 e tron in India. The upcoming electric SUV will be the third EV in the automaker India portfolio. It could make its India debut by later 2024. The upcoming Q6 e tron will be strategically priced to give a run to its rivals such as the Porsche Macan and the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Audi Q6 e tron
Audi Q6 e tron will arrive in India with a price tag of around 85 lakh (ex-showroom). All the small luxury EVs including the Mercedes EQB, Volvo XC40 and the BMW iX1. On the other hand, the larger ones like the Q8 e tron, BMW iX1 and the Mercedes EQE SUV all go above the 1 crore range.
Recently, Audi showcased a 388 hp dual motor setup with an AWD system and 625 km range per charge. There's also a smaller 240 KW (326 bhp) single motor setup variant that returns a higher range of 641 km.
The automaker is also expected to launch a smaller battery pack variant. According to a report, it could be a higher spec 285kW Quattro variant of the electric SUV.
What After the Audi Q6 e tron?
We are expecting the launch of range-topping SQ6 e tron trim to make its way to India. It is expected to land on Indian shores by the early 2025. The top-end SQ6 e tron will also source its power from the similar dual motor AWD setup. It will also get a stiffer suspension for a better experience. The range-topping variant will offer a maximum range of 598 km at an estimated price of up to 1 crore in India. After the SQ6 e tron, we can also expect other derivatives of the E-SUV such as the RS Q6 e tron, Q6 Sportback e tron and even the A6 e tron sedan.
