Yet another car model is now available with BS6 compliant engines - this time around its the Ford EcoSport. Both petrol and diesel engines will be on offer and prices have increased by just Rs 13,000. However, the diesel Titanium MT will continue to have the same ex-showroom price of Rs 9.99 lakh as the small price hike would have pushed the figure above Rs 10 lakh, thus leading to higher road taxes. The BS6 Ecosport will not have the 1.0 EcoBoost motor and automatic will be reserved for the top end 1.5 petrol only.
The BS6 Ford EcoSport will be available in the same trim line-up but interestingly, the 'S' model now will have a 1.5 petrol option too. This is because the 1.0 EcoBoost is no more in production. The marginal price hike makes sure the EcoSport remains a value for money option in the market and rubs shoulders with the XUV300 BS. However, this Mahindra offering does not have a BS6 compliant diesel motor, just yet.

Thanks to these efforts, not only has Ford been able to absorb a large part of investments on upgrading engines to new emission norms, but also strengthen our compact SUVs compelling proposition with an extended warranty cover, Raina added.
The BS6 Ford Ecosport will come with a service interval of 10,000km and owners have to pay as low as Rs 1400 as service costs in the first year. With a long list of features, segment's best infotainment set-up, safety aids and a premium appeal, the EcoSport will continue to win enthusiasts' hearts in 2020 as well.
