BYD Sealion 7 Anniversary Edition: What's New?
The highlight of this anniversary edition lies in its exclusive ownership package, available only to the first batch of buyers. The first 1,100 customers get access to a range of added benefits, including a complimentary 11 kW home charger with installation, along with two years of free service and maintenance. Additionally, BYD is extending the warranty on the low-voltage battery (LFP unit) to eight years or 1.5 lakh km, improving long-term peace of mind over the standard coverage. These benefits are valid for bookings made until April 30, 2026, making it a time-sensitive offer. On the cosmetic front, the anniversary edition introduces a new Tahiti Blue interior theme, giving the cabin a fresher and more distinctive look while retaining the SUV's ocean-inspired design philosophy.
The BYD Sealion 7 continues to impress with its extensive feature list. It gets a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, complemented by a 12-speaker Dynaudio audio setup for an immersive in-cabin experience. Other highlights include Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated and heated seats, 128-colour ambient lighting, and a panoramic glass roof. The SUV also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing it to power external devices, adding a layer of practicality to its premium appeal.
Powertrain, Range & Performance
Mechanically, the BYD Sealion 7 remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery, paired with BYD's advanced Cell-to-Body (CTB) architecture, which enhances structural rigidity and efficiency. The SUV is offered in two variants. The Premium version delivers a claimed range of up to 567 km (NEDC) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the Performance variant offers quicker acceleration at 4.5 seconds, with a slightly lower claimed range of 542 km.
The Sealion 7 continues to be offered in two trims. Prices start at Rs 49.40 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Premium variant, while the Performance version is priced at approximately Rs 54.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the anniversary edition are now open across BYD dealerships in India at a token amount of Rs 70,000.
