Citroen C3X

As we're writing this, Citroen India might be on the verge of launching the updated variant of the C3, their entry-level car. Additionally, Citroen has unveiled a new strategy, "Citroen India 2.0," under which they plan to invest more in manufacturing and R&D. To learn more about it, Click Here.

Moving on to the C3X teaser, we get a glimpse of the newly added features, including a push start button, leatherette interiors, and something that isn't shown - cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. We actually spotted this feature on the web even before any official announcement. This is a clear sign that Citroen is taking customer feedback seriously and putting in the effort to provide a well-rounded package. Also, the standout feature visible at the front is the Garnet Red paint, which has been carried over from the Citroen Basalt.

On the mechanical front, it will remain the same, and frankly, it doesn't need any improvements, as it already offers the best overall suspension and engine. Speaking of the powertrains, there are two 1.2L 3-cylinder engines: one naturally aspirated and the other turbocharged. The NA engine produces 82 PS and 115 Nm, mated to a 5-speed MT. The turbocharged engine, offers more power, delivering 110 PS and 205 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Verdict
The C3X will be a little costlier, but thankfully, it's getting that much-needed feature upgrade, making it a great deal. Will it boost sales? That's a tough one to comment on, considering the brand has struggled for so long despite offering some of the best ride quality and engines. Now, let's hope that the C3X's X factor works.
