The 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift is inching closer to launch, and in an exclusive spot, 91Wheels has caught the updated Z8 Select variant sitting at a dealership, giving us our clearest look yet at what changes the refresh brings to this particular trim. Compared to the outgoing Scorpio N Z8 Select version, the new 2026 facelift version comes loaded with several noteworthy updates, both on the technology and comfort front. Here's a detailed breakdown of all the updates being offered with the new Scorpio N Z8 Select Facelift.

1. New Touchscreen Unit - Same as the Thar Roxx

The biggest change spotted inside the cabin is the new touchscreen infotainment system, which appears to be the same unit currently on offer with the Thar Roxx. This suggests Mahindra is working towards a more unified, modern interface across its SUV lineup, and the Z8 Select should benefit from sharper graphics and a more contemporary look as a result. This screen offers a host of features such as in-built navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, vehicle statistics and more. The UI is smooth and easy to use while the brightness too is more than enough for day-to-day use.

2. Fully Digital Instrument Console

The new 2026 Scorpio N Z8 Select also gets a fully digital instrument cluster, replacing the digital-analog setup on the outgoing model. This brings the variant in line with modern SUV expectations, offering a more customisable and tech-forward display for the driver. This display is also offered in several other Mahindra models and provides access to a wide range of menus and essential driving information useful for the driver. The initial impressions regarding the visibility of the screen are great.

3. Type-C Charging Port Up Front

Unlike the outgoing model, the new Scorpio N Facelift gets a Type-C charging port at the front which is rated at 65watts. Alongside this port remains the USB port for multimedia connection. The rear passengers also have access to a single 65watt charging port placed below the rear AC vents.

4. Wireless Charging Pad Dropped

In a surprising move, the wireless charging pad, a feature which was available on the outgoing Z8 Select variant, has been removed on the facelift version. This is one of the few features where the update actually takes something away rather than adding to it.

5. Cooled Glove Box

The new 2026 Scorpio N Z8 Select variant also gets a cooled glove box, a welcome and practical feature that should come in handy for keeping items chilled during hot weather. The size of the glovebox however is small and we would have appreciated a larger and more useful glovebox.

6. Tinted Glasses

Mahindra is also offering UV-cut green tinted glasses with the new 2026 Scorpio N which not only cuts down on heat and UV rays, but also adds to the overall privacy inside the cabin. In my opinion, UV-cut glasses are a must-have for Indian condition and every manufacturer should offer such features as standard part of the package. Furthermore, it is yet to be known whether these glasses will be offered as a standard part of the package or only the higher-spec versions of the SUV.

7. Front Camera

While no major changes have been made to the front profile of the car, you will not get a front camera which has been located below the Mahindra logo in the front grille. While the quality of the camera is just average, it is a nice add-on and will aid in parking this large SUV in tight spaces.
