Exterior

The changes are minimal but noticeable, especially at the front. These include redesigned front and rear bumpers, a thicker skid plate running across the car, and a new spoiler design that adds a sportier character. The press release also mentions a V-garnish lighting design. Colour options include Gravity Gold Matte, Midnight Black Pearl, Titan Grey, and Optic White. Lastly, like most facelifts, this one also gets newly designed alloy wheels with aero inserts to improve efficiency.

Interior
The interior of the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 continues to emphasise a user-centric approach, blending its already spacious and premium cabin with subtle yet meaningful upgrades. The layout remains clean and futuristic, but now focuses more on ease of use and everyday practicality.

One of the key highlights is the new three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, featuring Hyundai's signature four-dot illuminated pixel design, along with a heating function for added comfort. The dual 62.5 cm (12.3-inch + 12.3-inch) screens for the infotainment system and instrument cluster continue to dominate the dashboard, offering a seamless and tech-forward experience.

Additionally, the redesigned wireless smartphone charging pad now integrates physical controls for heated and ventilated seats, improving accessibility and making on-the-go adjustments more intuitive.
New Features
- Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC)
- Controller Over-the-Air (C-OTA)
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Active Sound Design
- Vehicle theft protection via Hyundai Bluelink (New)
- New incar payment integration allowing users to pay for EV charging directly via the infotainment screen
- Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist - Rear (PCA-R)
- Parking Distance Warning (PDW - Side)
Verdict
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift takes a measured, evolutionary approach rather than a radical overhaul. With a larger 84 kWh battery and improved range, it strengthens its core appeal as a practical and efficient long-range EV. The subtle design tweaks and added convenience features enhance the overall ownership experience without altering the car's distinctive identity.
That said, the update focuses more on refinement than transformation. While it continues to stand out with its design, space, and tech, the high price tag means expectations around performance and features remain equally high. Overall, it's a well-rounded upgrade that keeps the Ioniq 5 competitive, but doesn't drastically change the formula.
