Hyundai Prime Taxi Range: Whats on Offer

The Hyundai Prime Taxi range has been developed to meet the real-world demands of high-usage commercial operations. Both Prime HB and Prime SD are powered by Hyundais proven 1.2-litre Kappa four-cylinder engine, offered in Petrol + factory-fitted CNG configuration. This setup is aimed at delivering predictable performance, lower operating costs, and long-term durability.
Pricing has been positioned aggressively for the segment. The Prime HB starts at Rs 5.99 lakh, while the Prime SD is priced from Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can reserve either model with a Rs 5,000 booking amount at any Hyundai showroom. The Prime HB and Prime SD are available in Atlas White, Typhoon Silver and Abyss Black, colours chosen for durability and ease of maintenance in commercial use.
Engine, Efficiency & Running Costs

Fuel efficiency is a major priority for taxi buyers, and Hyundai has tuned the Prime range accordingly. The Prime SD delivers a claimed 28.40 km/kg, while the Prime HB offers 27.32 km/kg in CNG mode. Hyundai also highlights a low cost of ownership estimated at around 47 paise per kilometre, making the Prime range a strong value proposition for high-mileage users. Both models come equipped with a company-fitted Speed Limiting Function (80 km/h) and CNG kits backed by a 3-year warranty, ensuring compliance and peace of mind for commercial operations.
Safety, Comfort & Convenience
Despite their utilitarian focus, the Prime HB and Prime SD are generously equipped. Safety highlights include six airbags, rear parking sensors, three-point seatbelts, an emergency stop signal, and a rear defogger. Comfort and convenience features such as rear AC vents, four power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering-mounted audio controls, a front Type-C fast charging port, and speakers are standard across the range. Driver-centric touches like seat height adjustment, footwell lighting, and, in the case of Prime HB, keyless entry and rear adjustable headrests, further enhance daily usability.

Recognising diverse fleet requirements, Hyundai is offering optional accessories including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear camera, and 3-year warranty, as well as a vehicle location tracking device with multiple panic buttons. These additions allow operators to tailor vehicles for app-based taxi services or fleet monitoring needs.

Ownership Benefits & Fleet Support
Hyundai is backing the Prime Taxi range with a dedicated ownership ecosystem. Buyers can opt for a special extended warranty covering the 4th and 5th year or up to 1,80,000 km, designed specifically for commercial usage. Flexible finance options with repayment tenures of up to 72 months are also available, easing entry for first-time fleet operators. To ensure faster service and minimal downtime, Hyundai will offer trained Fleet Care Advisors at dealerships, supported by its extensive nationwide sales and service network.
