Kia Syros EV Spied

The Kia Syros EV test mule was recently spotted charging at a charging station. At first glance, the Syros EV doesn't stray away from its ICE counterpart. The overall silhouette and dimensions remain intact; however, upon closer inspection, you'll notice some EV-specific changes. The front grille is blanked out with a charging port neatly integrated at the front. Apart from this, the B-pillar, ORVMs and the shark fin antenna were clearly visible, carried forward from the ICE sibling. The alloy wheels remain the same, but the brake callipers have been painted green, which might represent the EV-specific element. At the rear, an EV-specific badging is also expected.
What Could Be On Offer?

Although Kia has not revealed any details so far but it is expected to borrow the battery from the Hyundai Inster EV. This EV is powered by two battery pack options: 42kWh or 49kWh. While the maximum range is expected to be 370 km from the bigger battery pack. However, it can juice up from 10-80% in just 30 minutes.
The Kia Syros EV is expected to rival the Tata Punch EV and the MG Windsor EV. It is expected to sit below the elder sibling, Clavis EV, which might be priced around Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the brand remained tight lipped about the launch timeline but expected to debut around early 2026.
