Supersport Styling and Positioning

The RC 160 will carry forward KTM's philosophy of offering multiple body styles on the same platform. Much like how the RC 200 and RC 390 share their underpinnings with Duke streetfighters, the RC 160 will be the faired sibling to the naked 160 Duke. Expect it to feature an aerodynamic fairing similar to the RC 200, clip-on handlebars for a committed riding posture, and a sportier seat design to appeal to enthusiasts who prefer a racetrack-oriented look and feel.
KTM RC 160: Performance Upgrade

The 160 Duke recently replaced KTM's 125 Duke in the Indian market, and in the same vein, the RC 160 will take over from the now-discontinued RC 125. Power will come from KTM's new 164.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled SOHC engine with ride-by-wire tech, tuned to produce around 19 PS at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper-assist clutch. This marks a healthy jump in output compared to the older 125cc unit.
KTM RC 160: Shared Hardware with 160 Duke

Under the skin, the RC 160 is expected to share most of its hardware with its naked sibling. This includes the steel trellis frame, 17-inch alloy wheels, WP APEX USD front forks, a rear monoshock, and Bybre braking setup with a 320 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc, backed by dual-channel ABS. Tyre sizes will likely remain the same - 110 mm at the front and 140 mm at the rear.
Feature Package

In terms of equipment, the RC 160 should mirror the 160 Dukes tech features. Anticipated kit includes a 5-inch fully digital LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity via KTM Connect, offering turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and call management. Full-LED lighting - headlamp, indicators, and tail lamp - will round off the package.
KTM RC 160: Expected Price and Rivals
While there is no information abou, the RC 160 is expected to carry a premium of Rs. 10,000-15,000 over the 160 Duke's Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom) tag. Once launched, it will go up against faired competitors like the Yamaha R15 V4 and Suzuki Gixxer SF 155, while offering KTM's signature performance edge in the affordable supersport segment.

With its aggressive styling, upgraded powertrain, and proven hardware, it could well become the go-to choice for budding track-day enthusiasts.
