Recently spied testing on roads once again, but this time revealed something intriguing, hinting towards a bold new direction. Mahindra XUV 700 Facelift Spied

Mahindra's mid-size flagship SUV, the XUV 700, has been spotted testing again on Indian roads. This time revealed some significant details, especially around the front end. What caught many eyes was the headlamp setup, strikingly similar to the Scorpio N. When looked closely, it is similar U U-shaped dual-barrel LED headlamps, which gives it a bit more aggressive stance. Meanwhile, these are complemented by C-shaped LED DRLs and a revamped grille with more pronounced vertical slats. When you look at it from the side, the overall silhouette remains the same; the only change is the new set of alloy wheels. At the rear end, it is expected to have a similar LED taillamp setup along with a slightly tweaked bumper. Overall, we can make out that the exterior upgrades aims to the XUV 700 more closely in line with Mahindra's new design language.

Interiors

Inside, the facelifted version is expected to boast a triple screen layout borrowed from the elder sibling, XEV 9E. These three screens comprise an infotainment, an instrument cluster and a co-passenger entertainment. Meanwhile, it is expected to get the second row seats, ventilation, and auto-dimming IRVM, Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos. It already comes loaded with a ton of safety features; however, further enhancements may include features like self-parking assist and front parking sensors, etc.
Powertrains
Under the hood, it is expected to carry forward the same powertrain options, which include a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Meanwhile, the petrol mill belts out 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque and the diesel unit churns out 182 bhp and 450 Nm of torque. However, the transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter unit.
