Toyota Rumion Gets Safety Boost, 6 Airbags Now Standard - Details!

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the Rumion with enhanced safety features. The Toyota Rumion now comes with 6 airbags as a part of standard fitment starting from the base model. Toyota Rumion Enhanced Safety Features

The Toyota Rumion is the most affordable MPV available in the Indian market. Upon its launch, the vehicle came equipped with two standard airbags. With the recent update, all variants of the Rumion now feature dual front airbags, two side airbags, and two curtain shield airbags. The standard safety kit also includes features like Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, and ISOFIX child seat mounts across all grades. Additionally, the top-of-the-line V variant is now equipped with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

In addition to the safety update, the Rumion now features individual air conditioning vents and charging ports for both the 2nd and 3rd rows. Other highlights of the Rumion include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, and dual-tone machined alloy wheels. Inside, the Rumion features a dual-tone cabin, 60:40 split seats in the second row, and reclining seats in the third row.

Toyota Rumion Specifications

The Rumion is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 102 bhp of power and 136.8 Nm of peak torque. For the transmission options, it comes with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Moreover, this engine is also available with a CNG option mated with a 5-speed manual transmission.
