Maruti Brezza Facelift Exterior Tweaks: Familiar Shape With Subtle Refinements

2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift Spied

Maruti appears to be using a conservative approach for the Brezza facelift. From the front, the trademark LED headlamps with DRLs remain instantly recognisable, as do the basic grille and bumper outlines. The heavy camouflage hints at finer styling tweaks hidden under the covers, likely minor changes to textures, inserts, or lighting signatures. The side profile carries over the Brezza's trademark squared wheel arches, standard door handles, thick cladding, black ORVMs with indicators, and the slightly sloping roof that has become its visual identity.

The test mule also features roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, and the already-available single-pane sunroof. The alloy wheels retain their familiar design but now appear in a darker, blacked-out finish. At the back, earlier sightings confirmed that the tail lamps remain unchanged, though Maruti is expected to freshen up the detailing and bumper section to create distinction from the outgoing model. Will the Brezza will finally get a connected taillamp is yet to be seen, but given how common it is now getting, it can be spared, and it won't be a miss.

Interior Upgrades: Bigger Screens & Premium Touches Expected

While the cabin hasn't been fully revealed yet, the 2026 Brezza facelift is expected to take a significant step forward in terms of equipment. A larger 10.1-inch infotainment display is likely to replace the current 7-inch unit on mid variants and even the 9-inch screen on the top trims. Maruti may also introduce ventilated seats, a new TFT instrument cluster, upgraded audio hardware, a powered driver's seat, and expanded ambient lighting options to keep the Brezza competitive against feature-heavy rivals.

Safety could see an even bigger leap. With the segment embracing ADAS, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV3XO, and Hyundai Venue have already made the move, the Brezza facelift is expected to join the list with Level 2 driver assistance features. The current model already scores well on safety with a GNCAP 4-star rating, ESP, hill-hold, 6 airbags, and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain: No Changes Expected Under The Hood

The facelifted Brezza will continue with Maruti's tried-and-tested K15C 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine producing 103.1 PS and 139 Nm, available with a 5MT or 6-speed automatic. The CNG variant will also return with 87.8 PS and 121.5 Nm via a 5-speed manual gearbox. One interesting development from earlier test sightings is the possibility of an underfloor CNG tank, similar to the Victoris CNG, addressing the long-standing boot space compromise of factory CNG models.

Verdict

The 2026 Brezza facelift may not radically change the SUV's appearance, but that's not where the update is focused. Maruti is instead aiming to strengthen the Brezz's value proposition with a richer cabin, larger screens, comfort features and possibly ADAS, improvements that matter most to today's compact SUV buyers. With the petrol and CNG models already testing, the refreshed Brezza looks set to stay competitive in one of India's toughest segments, all while retaining the dependability and efficiency that made it a bestseller.
