Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the refreshed A-Class range in the Indian market. The lineup comprises the Mercedes-Benz A200 Limousine facelift, available at a starting price of Rs 45.80 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4Matic+, priced at Rs 92.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Mercedes-Benz A200 Limousine Facelift

The new A-Class features a shark-nosed, sloping bonnet with two power bulges. Additionally, a new radiator grille with a Mercedes-Benz star pattern is added. New 17-inch 5 twin-spoke alloy wheels with an external flush design emphasise the vehicle's sporty appearance. A new LED tail lamp design is added to the back profile.

On the interior the major highlight is the standard freestanding dual-screen display of 10.25inch each, taking centre stage. The revised steering wheel matches the high-tech character of the car with the touch control panels. The new A200 gets the latest MBUX and New Generation Telematics (NTG7). The A200 also gets wireless connectivity with smartphones is possible via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The USB charging capacity has been increased by 20%. The new A-Class comes with 7 airbags; the addition of a knee airbag enhances the safety of the car.

The A200 Limousine comes with a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine which produces 161 bhp of power and 270 Nm of peak torque. It is mated with a DCT gearbox. The A 200d will be launched in Q4 of 2023.

Mercedes-AMG A45 4MATIC+

The A45 S receives notable exterior enhancements, including newly designed headlamps and an AMG-specific radiator design. For further personalization, customers have the option to add the AMG rear Aerofoil as an accessory, allowing them to customize their AMG experience.

Inside, the A45 S showcases new Aluminum AMG design Trim elements in black/silver, exuding a sophisticated appeal. The Mercedes-AMG Performance steering wheel features touch control panels, ensuring seamless control at the driver's fingertips. Equipped with the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system - NTG7, the performance hatchback offers enhanced connectivity. The AMG-specific graphics, including the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, enhance the overall driving experience. Additionally, wireless smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto is now possible.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class

Powering the AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, delivering an impressive output of 421 hp, making it the highest power output among hatchbacks in India. This model holds the distinction of being the fastest AMG hatch worldwide, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G transmission is available to cater to the demands of this potent engine.
