MG Hector Plus Style Variant No More On Sale - All Details

MG Motors launched the new MG Hector Plus in July this year. The Hector Plus was the third offering from MG in India after the Hector and the ZS EV. The Hector Plus was launched at an introductory starting price of Rs. 13.48 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. Upon launch, the MG Hector Plus was available in four variants - Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. However, now the base Style variant of the MG Hector Plus is no more on sale.

MG Motors has discontinued the base Style variant of the Hector Plus and it is no more on sale. The Style variant was available with both petrol as well as diesel engine options but with a manual transmission only. The Petrol MT model of the Style variant was launched at Rs. 13.48 lakhs while the Diesel MT model of the Style variant was launched at Rs. 14.43 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The company has discontinued the base-spec Style variant of Hector Plus for now as according to MG, there is no demand for it.

However, the company has stated that if the customers ask for the Style variant and demand arises in the market, MG will re-introduce it at a later point of time. The MG Hector Plus gets three different engine options. It gets a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that belts out 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. This non-hybrid petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed DCT. It also gets the same 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This petrol hybrid version comes mated only to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It also gets a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only.

The price of the new MG Hector Plus now starts at Rs. 15.70 lakhs for the (Super) Diesel variant and Rs. 16.70 lakhs for the (Smart) Petrol variant. The price of the top model ranges up to Rs. 18.69 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi.
