4. Citroen eC3 Aircross

Citroen's upcoming electric model, the eC3 Aircross, is poised to be the next addition to their electric vehicle lineup. Essentially an electric adaptation of the C3 Aircross, this model is built on a versatile modular platform that accommodates both traditional internal combustion engines (ICE) and electric powertrains. Introducing an electric variant for the C3 Aircross is a logical progression. In comparison to the eC3 hatchback, which features a 29.2kWh battery and a 57hp electric motor, Citroen may consider opting for a larger battery and motor to meet the Aircross model's increased size and weight. Similar to its petrol counterpart, the eC3 Aircross is expected to be available in both five- and seven-seater configurations.

5. Hyundai Creta EV

Price: Rs 23 lakh-25 lakh

Hyundai Creta Electric SUV

Hyundai is expected to unveil an electric version of the Creta in the third quarter of 2024, utilizing the internal combustion engine platform with certain modifications. While the electric Creta may showcase unique design elements to distinguish it from its traditional counterpart, overall styling is anticipated to resemble the facelifted version. Internally, similarities are expected in terms of interiors and equipment, mirroring those found in the internal combustion engine model. Hyundai has not yet disclosed specifics regarding battery capacity, projected range, and motor output. The Creta EV is poised to compete with the MG ZS EV and Maruti's upcoming eVX.

6. Tata Harrier EV

Price: Rs 27 lakh-30 lakh
Launch: Late 2024

New EV

The Harrier EV is set to utilize the Omega architecture from the diesel Harrier, but with substantial modifications to incorporate the Land Rover-derived platform for electrification. Although official specifications for the EV have not been disclosed, it is anticipated to feature a 60kWh battery, dual motors, an all-wheel-drive configuration, and an estimated range of 400-500km. The design is expected to draw heavily from the recently released Harrier facelift. Furthermore, the electric variant is likely to share many features with its internal combustion engine counterpart, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

7. Tata Curvv EV

Price: Rs 14 lakh-20 lakh
Launch: Mid 2024
Battery: TBA

New EV

The Curvv stands out as a stylish SUV-coupe set to occupy a position higher than Tata's Nexon in the lineup. It caters to individuals seeking a distinctive vehicle without compromising on the practical aspects of an SUV, including elevated ground clearance and a raised seating position. Noteworthy design elements encompass a gracefully sloping roofline seamlessly integrated into a notchback-style boot, complemented by a robust shoulder line, squared-off wheel arches, and substantial body cladding for added ruggedness. Inside, the Curvv is expected to feature a digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen akin to the one introduced with the Nexon EV, touch-operable climate controls, and amenities like a 360-degree camera and a sunroof. Initially launched as an electric vehicle with a range of 400-500km, internal combustion engine versions will be introduced later, although specific technical details regarding the electric powertrain remain undisclosed at present.

8. Mahindra XUV.e8

Price: Rs 30 lakh-35 lakh

Anticipated to be equipped with an 80kWh battery, it is expected to offer two power options: 230hp and 350hp, potentially featuring a dual-motor configuration for all-wheel drive capability. In terms of interior enhancements, while retaining many components from the XUV700, the XUV.e8 aims to elevate the driving experience with an advanced trio of screens, encompassing a digital instrument cluster, infotainment system, and an additional screen dedicated to passengers.
