New KIA Test Mule Spotted, Is This The Upcoming KIA Carens Facelift?

KIA Carens is one of the most feature-rich MPVs in the Indian market under Rs 20 lakh. Launched back in 2022, the Carens has received a good reception in the Indian market. Now, after 2 years KIA might soon bring a facelift of the MPV and recently a test mule of the KIA Carens facelift has been spotted on test. KIA Carens Facelift - What To Expect?

The newly spotted test mule was seen on the international roads, it was covered in heavy camouflage but gave a glimpse of the front and rear end of the MPV. The front end seems to have an update as it was covered heavily, the variant spotted seems to be the mid-spec variant as it boasted a halogen headlamp setup. The LED DRLs above the headlamp were also visible on the test mule.

At the rear, a distinctive LED tail lamp design is available and we can anticipate a connected LED tail lamp setup in the Carens facelift. On the sides, the variant dons alloy wheels which indicates it will get alloys in lower variants as well.

Other highlights, of the upcoming KIA Carens facelift will be the updated interior which is expected to get new upholstery, color tone, and new features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-panoramic screens for instrument cluster and infotainment. We can also anticipate dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and electronic parking brakes among other features. KIA always fills its cars with a plethora of features and the upcoming KIA Carens facelift will be no exception.

KIA Carens Facelift - Powertrain

Currently, the Carens comes with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. These engines are available with an option of 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, 7-speed DCT, and a 6-speed TC automatic transmission. We do not expect any changes in the powertrain and transmission options.
