Norton New Sportsbike Details

The new Norton sportsbike now appears to have a proper fairing which covers the frame and the powertrain of the bike. We can expect it to be tweaked further on the production-spec motorcycle, given that this one appears to be in its final testing stages. There are no winglets to be seen, which suggest this will be more of a road-focused motorcycle rather than a track one.

The hardware details remain under wraps for now, but it seems to pack in a lot of premium hardware. It continues to use a single-sided swingarm, and there is a good chance this motorcycle may also continue to use a twin-spar aluminium frame. The suspension appears to be manually-adjustable, but we can expect a semi-active unit to be in the works. We have also seen the braking hardware before; Brembo monobloc Hyperpure callipers.

The motorcycle will likely be powered by a new 1200cc, V4 powertrain, with the V4SV, V4CR, and the Commando having ridden off into the sunset not too long ago. Under TVS leadership, Norton seems to be doing things entirely from scratch. In terms of design, the upcoming sportsbike also looks far more modern, and this may well be the new design language for the remaining six or seven Norton motorcycles that will also make their global debuts in the coming months.
Verdict
The upcoming Norton sportsbike is going to debut at EICMA, and TVS did say it plans to bring Norton to India towards the end of 2025. It will be interesting to see how the audience reacts to the revival of another British motorcycle brand.
