New Gen Kia Seltos Spied

The new-gen Kia Seltos has been spotted testing, undergoing road tests across India. Based on the spy shots, we can see that the new model boasts a muscular stance with a redesigned front fascia featuring a bolder grille and a reworked bumper. The headlamps receive a fresh treatment, too, with a new LED setup and vertically stacked DRLs. Interestingly, the ADAS sensor is neatly integrated into the front bumper, confirming that it will get an ADAS suite like the current-gen model. Meanwhile, other notable changes include dual-tone black and white ORVMs. While moving to the rear, you'll notice a revamped tailgate with connected taillamps setup. Apart from this overall sihoutte remians the same along with shark fin antenna, roof rails and a single exhaust.

Interiors

While Kia has not revealed any details about the interiors but expectations are an time high that this new gen will bring more premium features to the table. It is expected to get a dual 12.3-inch screen, one for infotainment and another for the instrument cluster. The cabin is also expected to be equipped with dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, and multiple USB Type-C ports to keep devices powered on the go. On the safety front, the inclusion of Level-2 ADAS with self-park assist backed by more sensors and smarter driver-assist systems makes the new Seltos one of the most advanced SUVs in its segment.
Powertrains

Under the hood, the Seltos is expected to continue with the same set of engines as with the current-gen model. This includes a 1.5-litre NA petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel unit. Transmission options may include the same as a manual, CVT, torque converter and a DCT unit. However, the biggest addition to the lineup could be a hybrid variant likely to be based on the 1.5-litre NA petrol unit.

Verdict
Given the demand for small urban cars and improving EV infrastructure, there is good scope for new models under the Rs 10 lakh bracket. The Leapmotor T03 might not be the most striking EV, but it ticks all the right boxes as a solution for urban mobility.
