Next-Gen Mini Countryman Electric Launch Soon? Check All Details Here!

Soon after launching its first electric car in the country, Mini is now expected to launch the next-gen Mini Country with an electric powertrain. The German carmaker is currently planning to kill off the plug-in hybrid model of the Countryman which might get replaced with a Next-Gen Mini Countryman electric in the market. Here are all the details that we know so far.

The new Mini Countryman will boast a long list of changes including updated underpinnings and mechanical components. The crossover is also expected to grow in terms of dimensions and will be manufactured in Germany. The new electric powertrain powering the Mini Countryman electric is expected to be shared with the BMW X1. The brand might not offer ICE variants in a few markets including the UK market. The car will sit above the Mini electric and will offer better practicality and capabilities.

The PHEV powertrains will be dropped completely while we may see different iterations of the electric powertrain being offered with the next-gen Mini Countryman electric. Having said this, a number of online reports suggest that the upcoming Countryman will measure nearly 4.5 metres in length and will sit above the Mini five-door in the line-up. A more affordable electric crossover might also be offered in the markets to offer better VFM and a more affordable price tag.
