If we tell you that Royal Enfield Himalayan will soon go electric; that might not sound much familiar. Right? Well, looking at the recently leaked online doc we think this will be a reality soon. A Royal Enfield Himalayan electric ADV is under work and yes it is likely to debut by 2026. Read below for more details.

RE Himalayan Electric Details

A photo that seems to have leaked from RE's design center shows the design details of this upcoming EV. The overall sigma design comprehends the proper ADV appeal. It gets a long vertical front end. It has a long travel suspension. The chassis is all new with a unique swingarm design & it also has a monoshock suspension at the rear. However, instead of a trustworthy ICE motor; it will be getting a bigger battery pack & electric motor underneath the fake fuel tank. Meanwhile, we are suspecting that it will be loaded with features & high-tech connected stuff like riding modes, etc.

Just a few days back, another document leaked from RE's investor meeting. That document has also shown us that RE is soon going to expand its lineup. Not only that but it will thoroughly revise the Himalayan brand. The current Himalayan shall be phased out and a new Himalayan 450 will take its place. Additionally, a 650cc Himalayan ADV is also expected as per the official document.

Verdict

Meanwhile, the electric Himalayan is still a long way from the testing phase. We think that RE is currently paying attention to its design. Hence, the pre-production testing phase will start later.
