Skoda Kodiaq, the Czech automaker's first luxurious SUV for India, is finally entering the 2nd generation, and as per several media reports, its launch is happening in April. We first got a real glimpse of it at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and experienced it throughout. 2nd - Gen Skoda Kodiaq
This will be the 2nd generation of the Kodiaq, and it will be offered with the same 2.0L TSI petrol engine, which comes with only a 7-speed DSG gearbox and will feature an AWD setup. Moreover, the current-gen Kodiaq has been discontinued to make space for the new one. Now, let's move on to what the 2nd generation gets.
The upcoming model from beneath is the same as before but gets a whole new design language, which increases its dimensions, and now all the cuts and creases are replaced by curvaceous lines. Apart from that, it will be offered in two variants - Sportline and L&K. Now, let's talk about its interior, where things get really quirky. For starters, the 10.25-inch infotainment screen is replaced by a 13-inch screen, plus the interior layout is all new. Also, the driver gets a 10.25-inch digital screen setup, along with a dual-tone interior of black and burgundy.
The biggest feature highlight of the upcoming Kodiaq will be Level 2 ADAS, based on camera and radar, as it's clearly visible from the outside. To add more, a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, electronic tailgate, and ventilated seats will be there. Talking about its price, we believe it will start at around Rs 42 lakh and go up to Rs 48 lakh for the top-spec L&K variant, but these are assumptions based on the previous-gen model price; the official price could differ.

Verdict
Skoda is one European brand in India that has been extremely active in bringing the latest cars, launching special schemes for its customers, and finding ways to increase its sales. Last year, they kept everyone engaged with Kylaq teasers, and now it's time for the next-gen Superb and Kodiaq. This is great from an industry perspective, as a company has shown persistent effort in cracking the market and providing one of the best-engineered cars.
