Skoda Kodiaq RS

The RS badge isn't just about making the Kodiaq look sportier; it also brings several mechanical upgrades that set it apart from the standard model. That said, the SUV's core architecture remains unchanged. These enhancements are also likely to make the Kodiaq RS considerably more expensive than the current top-spec version of it. Skoda is expected to bring only a limited number of units to India, adding an element of exclusivity and making it a desirable collector's model. Now, let's take a look at the performance figures.
Powertrain Details
The engine remains the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TSI unit, but in the Kodiaq RS, it produces 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Skoda claims a top speed of 231 km/h, while the SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 6.3-6.4 seconds.
For enthusiasts, these figures are sure to bring a smile to their faces, especially considering that the Kodiaq RS produces significantly more power than the Octavia RS.
Changes?

On the cosmetic front, the Kodiaq RS gets striking 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a gloss-black grille with an RS badge, and a blacked-out D-pillar that further enhances its sporty appeal. The sporty theme carries over to the cabin as well, with black leather upholstery accented by contrasting red stitching throughout the interior.
Overall, the Kodiaq RS is aimed at buyers who want one of the most engaging seven-seater SUVs on the market. For the first time, Skoda is bringing the RS badge to its flagship Kodiaq in India, making it a significant addition to the lineup.
Given the limited allocation expected for the Indian market, getting your hands on one could prove challenging - much like the Octavia RS, which was snapped up quickly earlier this year. For now, we'll have to wait for more details to emerge in the coming months.
