This is How The New Skoda Kushaq will Look - Official Sketches Revealed

Skoda Auto India Private Limited has today revealed the official sketches of the upcoming new 2021 Skoda Kushaq. The Czech car manufacturer is now going all guns blazing to kick-start its India 2.0 Project with a bang. Though the company launched a slew of new cars last year in India, the upcoming new Skoda Kushaq will be the first major launch under its India 2.0 Project. The Skoda Kushaq will make its World Premiere in India on March 18, 2021.

The upcoming new Skoda Kushaq has been developed specifically for the Indian market. Today, the company has revealed the official sketches of the Skoda Kushaq that gives us a glimpse as to how the production model will look like. It will make its public debut too soon. Now, if we talk about the design elements, so we can see that the new Kushaq has a modern design language. It resembles other big Skoda SUVs like the Karoq, Kodiaq, etc.

At the front, one can see that it gets Skoda's signature butterfly grille with subtle chrome accents. It also gets sleek projector headlamps with a split layout, large air-intakes and a 3-slot aluminium skid plate. The side profile of the SUV houses large alloy wheels with roof rails at the top, which does look functional. At the rear, it gets sharp LED taillights with a big 3D Skoda logo. The sketch also shows the aluminium skid plate at the rear along with a roof-mounted spoiler and all-around body-cladding for a tough appeal.

The new Skoda Kushaq will get two turbocharged petrol engine options in India. The first one will be a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill that will churn out 110 PS of power. This motor will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It will also get a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that will churn out 150 PS of maximum power. This mill will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DSG (direct-shift gearbox).

The new Skoda Kushaq will be based on the company's new India specific MQB-A0 IN platform. It will pack in a lot of goodies and will make its World Premiere in India on March 18, 2021. Now, if we talk about the rivals, so it will rival against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, etc. The Kushaq is expected to be priced between Rs. 10 lakhs - Rs. 16 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
