The Tata Harrier EV continues to make headlines every now and then. This time, it's about safety. Tata's latest electric SUV has scored a full five stars at the Bharat NCAP, just like most other cars from the Indian manufacturer. The Harrier EV has performed quite close to its combustion-engined sibling in this regard.

Tata Harrier EV Scores Five Stars At Bharat NCAP; Details

The Harrier EV has scored a full 32.00 out of 32.00 points in the adult occupancy safety tests. In the front offset deformable barrier tests and side movable barrier tests, the car scored a full 16.00 points. Protection to the head, neck, chest, pelvis and thighs were all rated 'good' for both the driver and the front passenger in all three tests, including the side pole impact test.
Similarly, in the child occupancy safety tests, the Harrier EV scored a full 24.00 marks in the dynamic test and full 12.00 installation of the child restraint system test, only falling four points short in the overall vehicle assessment out of a maximum of 13.00 points.

The Harrier EV will be available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive guises, and while prices for the rear-wheel drive variants have been listed, prices for the all-wheel drive variants will be released on June 27. These safety ratings are applicable to all variants of the car. For reference, here are the prices of currently available variants:
- Adventure 65: Rs 21.49 Lakh
- Adventure S 65: Rs 21.99 Lakh
- Fearless+ 65: Rs 23.99 Lakh
- Fearless+ 75: Rs 24.99 Lakh
- Empowered 75: Rs 27.49 Lakh
In terms of safety features, the Harrier EV comes with 7 airbags, a blind view monitor, auto park assist, summon mode, reverse assist, and a level 2 ADAS suite among many other things.

Verdict
The Harrier EV makes headlines yet again, performing greatly at the Bharat NCAP as is the custom with most Tata cars nowadays. However, it remains to be seen how the audience reacts to this particular EV from Tata Motors.
