Tata Punch was launched a couple of months back and needless to say, it looks like a baby Nexon. It has a similar aesthetic appeal and looks mean even in stock form. But have you imagined what would the off-road version of the Tata Punch would look like? Well, sit tight because we've got the images that you just want to see.
Nstreet_designs who is also known for rendering other Indian cars has done a perfect job with the Tata Punch. Finished in the tropical mist colour scheme, the Punch now gets aftermarket alloys with wider tyres. The tyres not only increase the height of the SUV but also gives an aggressive approach to the Punch.
Next up is the roof carrier and check the spare wheel which is mounted on the top. Boy, it looks impressive. Since it is the off-road spec Punch, it needs to have powerful illumination at night. That is why you see a bar light in front of the roof carrier and another set of lights placed with the grille. Unlike the front, nothing is changed at the rear.
Even with the minimalistic changes on this Tata Punch, the off-road spec surely increases the aesthetic appeal of the SUV. While it may not be off-road ready in real, the pictures surely give an idea that how well the modifications can be carried out if one decides to go this way. We just wished a dummy snorkel would have been a nice addition to this off-road ready Punch.
Powering the Tata Punch is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, BS6 compliant petrol engine. This unit develops 86 bhp at 6000 RPM with a peak torque of 113 Nm at 3300 RPM. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and an optional AMT unit. The ARAI certified mileage sticks to 18.97 kmpl for the manual and 18.82 for the AMT. The prices of the Tata Punch sticks from Rs 5.65 lakh to Rs 9.29 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
