All-electric Mercedes-Benz GLC; Details
We need some background first; the electric GLC is essentially going to replace the EQC, which was silently killed off by the German car maker sometime in 2024. It was among the first few premium electric cars to hit the Indian market, but it was not built on an all-electric platform, instead using the MRA platform from many combustion-powered Mercs.

Back to the matter at hand now. The electric GLC will feature a modern rendition of the iconic grille that has been on many old Mercedes cars. It will feature a chrome surround, followed by a smoked glasss surface and integrated contour lighting. Sitting centrestage will be an illuminated pointed three-star Mercedes-Benz logo as well. The car maker will also offer an illuminated version of this grille as well, feturing 942 backlit dots. This backlit treatment will also get the option of animation as well.

Other than the new grille, most new design elements remain under very tight wraps. However, we can see a few glimpses of the front, such as the headlamps which seem to get a sleek, sculpted treatment, along with the familiar fog lamp surrounds on the front bumper.

The new electric GLC will come with a completely new interior treatment as well. Mercedes-Benz has confirmed it will get a new Hyperscreen infotainment system as seen on many newer Merc cars these days. The Hyperscreen will come with the new MB.OS, which will also feature the next-gen MBUX Virtual Assistant as well.

Given that the current GLC is among Mercedes-Benz' global best-selling cars, we can expect the upcoming all-electric GLC to be launched in India not long after its global debut on September 7 at Munich.
Verdict
The all-electric GLC is going to be among the first few cars to ditch the EQ branding from the car maker. It will also prove to be crucial when it launches in India, given that it has also been quite successful for the car maker here as well.
