The Toyota Innova Hycross is one of the most sought-after hybrid vehicles in the country. Top-Spec Toyota Innova Hycross ZX & ZX(O) Hybrid Variants Booking Halted: Waiting Period Soars
Last year in March, Toyota stopped taking bookings for the Toyota Innova Hycross ZX and the ZX(O) hybrid variants. This was done to counter the sky-high waiting period that surpassed the 12-month mark. With expectations of it rising even further, it made all the sense to hold it for a while. After fulfilling the pending orders, Toyota re-opened the bookings of the above-mentioned variants just last month, in April 2024.
But now, since the re-opening of bookings last month, the demand, which was piling up for a year, exploded in big numbers. The extent was such that the waiting period have again skyrocketed, surpassing the 14-month mark this time. Taking note of this surmounting demand, Toyota has once again pulled the plug on the hybrid trims booking. The bookings for these variants will resume once the supply is back to an easier time frame, but you can still book the VX and VX(O) hybrid variants along with the non-hybrid variants.

Powertrain
The petrol variant of the Innova Hycross is equipped with a 172hp, 2.0-liter petrol engine, while the strong hybrid version boasts a 184hp, 2.0-liter engine. Both are exclusively paired with automatic transmissions, with the petrol variant utilizing a CVT gearbox and the strong hybrid featuring an e-Drive transmission. The Hycross Hybrid is priced between Rs. 25.97 lakhs and Rs. 30.98 lakhs, whereas the non-hybrid variants fall within the range of Rs. 19.77 lakhs to Rs. 19.22 lakhs ex-showroom.

Verdict
The Hycross has been a high demand vehicle right from its beginning. It still enjoys a crazy demand that has lead to its bookings being haltd once again. However, we would love to see a system where the production meets the demand for a continuous demand supply chain, without much issues. But the wishes never end, do they?
