TVS Motor Company is gearing up for one of its most important launches in recent years, the Apache RTX 300, the brand's first-ever adventure motorcycle for the Indian market. With the annual TVS MotoSoul 2025 festival scheduled for December 5-6 in Goa, all signs point toward the new ADV making its production debut at the event. First showcased as a concept at Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025 and spied testing on multiple occasions, the RTX 300 is expected to become a new gateway to the fast-growing mid-capacity adventure segment. Let's get into some more details, but before that, make sure to join the 91wheels WhatsApp Community, specifically curated for petrolheads like us to keep up with the latest news and automotive updates.

TVS RTX 300: Design and Styling

Unlike hardcore off-road-focused ADVs, the Apache RTX 300 adopts a more touring-oriented approach. The motorcycle carries a tall stance, a wide windscreen, knuckle guards, muscular fuel tank extensions, and a neatly tapered tail. Its sharp body lines unmistakably carry the Apache family DNA, while the split headlamp setup and premium fit-and-finish add to its modern adventure-bike appeal. The design leans towards long-distance comfort but doesn't compromise on ruggedness.

The bike sits on a steel trellis frame, suspended by upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Long-travel suspension is expected to cater to mixed-road usage, while a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination wrapped in dual-purpose tyres promises versatility on both highways and broken trails. Braking will likely come via petal discs at both ends, backed by switchable dual-channel ABS for added safety.

Features and Technology

Staying true to TVS's reputation for feature-rich motorcycles, the Apache RTX 300 is expected to come loaded with equipment. It is likely to borrow the 5-inch TFT display from the RTR 310, complete with TVS SmartXonnect support for navigation, calls, messages, and ride analytics. Advanced features such as multiple ride modes, traction control, cruise control, and possibly even adjustable suspension may also be on offer, giving it a strong edge in the mid-capacity ADV segment.

Engine and Performance

At the heart of the RTX 300 is TVS's newly developed 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine, which was first unveiled at the 2024 MotoSoul event. The motor is tuned to produce 35 PS and 28.5 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. A bi-directional quickshifter is also expected, at least as an optional feature.

The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to be priced around Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom), benefiting from GST 2.0 rate cuts. Once launched, it will compete with the KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX 250, Yezdi Adventure, and even overlap with some larger-capacity entry-level ADVs.

Verdict

With the Apache RTX 300, TVS is preparing to enter uncharted territory, the adventure motorcycle segment. If it delivers on its promise of a capable new engine, premium hardware, and a feature-loaded package at a competitive price point, the RTX 300 could well become one of the most accessible and desirable ADV in its class. All eyes will now be on MotoSoul 2025 in Goa, where TVS is expected to take the wraps off what could be its most significant launch of the year.
