Bajaj Pulsar N160 Update Details
As visible in the teased image of a helmet visor, it looks like the bike will get a new digital instrument console. Maybe a TFT console with Bluetooth phone connectivity including SMS and call alerts, will find its way on the new bike. Moreover, the possibility of turn-by-turn navigation support can't be ignored either. Other than these, Bajaj shall also revise some design elements on it. The fuel tank extensions, headlight cowl design, and other elements might be reworked.
Recently, a test mule of the N160 update was spotted testing around Pune. The test bike has a USD front suspension. Thus, we can predict that the updated bike will get it as a standard fitment. Not to mention, the updated model will get new colour combos with new graphics as well. On the engine front, the bike might get revised engine tuning with E20 fuel compliance. The current engine has some vibrations in the mid-range, which will be ironed out with the update. The updated model will compete with the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V & Hero Xtreme 160R 4V.
Verdict
The relevance of the Pulsar N160 reduced after the launch of the Pulsar N150. The current bike feels outdated and the feature list is also not long. Moreover, the N150 offers almost a similar stance & road presence with a more fuel economical engine. Hence, the new N160 will make Bajaj's comeback in the 160cc sports commuter segment.
