Honda Elevate Price & Fuel Economy - Details

Honda Elevate

The latest confirmation of the launch has come from the company itself. The prices of Elevate will be revealed in September. Meanwhile, the media test drives have begun today in Udaipur. Speaking of the details, the fuel economy figures of it were also revealed online recently. The MT variants of the Elevate are going to deliver a certified 15.31 km/l while the CVT automatic variants are expected to deliver 16.92 km/l. These figures might not look impressive but the overall design and the size of Elevate are bound to attract numerous buyers as expected by Honda. The prominent missing will be the non-availability of a diesel or a strong hybrid powertrain. This means that the customers with high annual running shall opt for rivals.

Mind you, Elevate bookings are already open pan India. As per Honda, the response for the upcoming SUV is very good. Honda will equip the Elevate with the best of the features like LED lights, a digital cockpit, a 10.25-inch touch infotainment screen, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, etc. Most importantly, the top variants will come with Honda Sensing ADAS tech. Under the hood, it'll be powered by the same 1.5-lt NA petrol engine which we see on the City sedan. This engine makes a peak power of 119.35 bhp and it'll be mated to an option of either a 6-speed MT or a 7-step CVT. Its primary rivals will include Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, & the new KIA Seltos.

Verdict

While the upcoming Elevate looks like a promising offering, the low fuel economy numbers might drag down some buyers. But, it'll be bigger in dimensions than its current rivals. Meanwhile, the addition of ADAS tech will only make the new customers more keen towards buying it. More details about it'll surface as we approach towards the launch.
