Hyundai Venue

If you didn't knew anything about this upcoming car, so let me give you clear picture. Hyundai Venue launched in 2019, is about to get into its 2nd generation, and its testing are going on for over 10 months now. It has been spied on several ocassions, and even its N-Line trim has alos caught eyes. Venue is a pivotal car for Hyundai India as its the 2nd best selling product of Hyundai and it competes in the most fierly competitive segment, the sub-4 meter SUV area which has become even more attractive post GST rate reforms.

At the core level, it is expected to remain the same - based on the Hyundai-Kia K2 platform, a monocoque chassis, and FWD drivetrain. The powertrains are also likely to stay unchanged: a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0L turbo-petrol, and a 1.5L diesel. The new elements we can expect include a bolder design language with a larger grille, slimmer LED headlamps, and connected DRLs. On top of that, it is expected to offer more features such as a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a wireless charging pad, ventilated seats, and a powered driver's seat.

On the feature front, it already has everything. The only reason why Venue sales have dropped is because there is too much competition, and this car doesn't have a USP. For example, its rival Nexon is known for safety and features, the Kylaq for performance, and the Brezza for space along with its 1.5L naturally aspirated engine. You can't find anything unique about the Venue, which is why Hyundai is giving it a new generation, expected to solve the existing issues of the current model.

Verdict
Although this spy shot doesn't really reveal anything we don't already know, it does confirm that the Venue is still undergoing testing. Several automotive sites have reported that it is expected to launch this month itself. Before concluding, here's a little note: we at 91Wheels were the first in the industry to spot the 2nd-generation Venue in India, back at the beginning of 2025. And as of now, the testing is still ongoing.
