Upcoming KIA Sonet Facelift Spotted Undisguised Ahead Of Launch - See Images

KIA Motors has been extensively testing the forthcoming Sonet model for an extended period. The pre-launch facelift has been repeatedly seen covered in camouflage, providing sneak peeks at the changes. Recently, a fresh batch of images has emerged online before the official launch, and this time, the vehicle was unveiled without any camouflage. These images provide the very first clear view of the upcoming KIA Sonet facelift without any protective covering. These images are sourced from China, suggesting that this could be a new variant designed for the Chinese market. It's possible that the Indian version may receive different modifications. 2024 KIA Sonet Facelift

The upcoming KIA Sonet is set to feature a host of modifications, both on its exterior and interior. On the exterior, it will showcase subtle alterations, including a refreshed front grille, newly designed headlamps, and a redesigned front DRL (Daytime Running Lights) design as part of the facelift. The front bumper has also undergone design adjustments. The side profile will be enhanced with newly designed diamond-cut alloy wheels, lending a sportier appearance. At the rear, a significant change has been implemented in the form of connected LED tail lamps, sharing a design pattern reminiscent of the new Seltos model.

Currently, the interior of the SUV remains concealed in this new set of pictures. However, prior spy shots that were captured had unveiled certain interior details, including the introduction of a larger touchscreen infotainment system akin to the one found in the new Seltos. Furthermore, the new Sonet is expected to offer revamped seat upholstery and premium leather seats for its higher-end variants. There's also the possibility of some adjustments to the center console design. In terms of features, the vehicle is anticipated to maintain its offerings, such as a single-pane electric sunroof, automatic climate control, wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with various other features.

2024 KIA Sonet Engine Options

The upcoming Seltos is expected to retain its existing powertrain options, which encompass a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Additionally, KIA may reintroduce manual transmissions for the diesel and turbocharged petrol versions within the facelifted lineup. Currently, the transmission choices include a 5-speed manual for the 1.2-liter engine, a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), a 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (IMT) for the 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, and a 6-speed IMT and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission (AT) for the 1.5-liter diesel engine.
