Volkswagen's compact SUV, Taigun, is gearing up for the mid-cycle update. The camouflage test mule has been spied recently for the first time on the Indian roads. Exterior Design Upgrades

The facelifted Taigun is expected to sport a more aggressive front fascia, along with a reworked grille inspired by the new VW models. While the headlamps setup is expected to carry the signature LEDs with DRL. At the rear, the changes might be more evolutionary, going by the spy shots. The rear end seems a bit reworked, along with a new LED setup, while the bumpers look slightly tweaked. Apart from this, we can also expect a new alloy wheel design for the top variants.
Interiors

While the cabin layout is expected to remain similar to the outgoing model. But VW can introduce new upholstery options along with new colour schemes. Moreover, you can expect a larger touchscreen infotainment system along with a digital instrument cluster. One of the most anticipated additions is the inclusion of level 2 ADAS, as most competitors already offer. VW is the only one that misses out on ADAS in their mass market offerings.
Powertrains

Under the hood, it is expected to retain the current powertrain lineup. This includes the 1.0-litre TSI unit, which belts out 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque and the 1.5-litre TSI unit, which churns out 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Moreover, the transmission options are likely to remain unchanged as well, and come paired either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter or a 7-speed DSG unit.
Though Volkswagen has made no official announcement yet but it is likely to be launched by early 2026. Additionally, we can also expect a facelifted version of its sedan sibling, the Volkswagen Virtus, by then.
