For the first time, Volkswagen has teased the Virtus, its forthcoming global sedan. The global debut of the Volkswagen Virtus is scheduled for March 8th in India. The Virtus is based on the Volkswagen Group's India 2.0 revival strategy and will be built on the MQB AO IN platform. The new Skoda Slavia, Skoda Kushaq, and VW Taigun are all built on this platform. By Mid 2022, the new mid-size vehicle is slated to hit the Indian market.

The upcoming Volkswagen Virtus will replace the Vento in India. The VW Virtus will be offered in regular and GT trim levels, the same as the Taigun. Both the sedan and the SUV will have the same powerplant options mechanically. The 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which produces 115 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque, is one of them. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine develops 148 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.
The Virtus has been sighted testing on public roads multiple times, and it looks like a posh sedan with the same design language as all VW cars. It'll also include the same notable features as the Taigun, such as an electric sunroof, a huge touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument dashboard, automatic air conditioning, LED projector headlamps, and so on.
The price of the upcoming 2022 Virtus is projected to range from Rs. 10.05 lakh to Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Upon arrival, the Virtus will face Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and Skoda Slavia.
