Skoda India recently launched the all-new Skoda Kushaq in the country. The new 2021 Skoda Kushaq is a mid-size SUV from this Czech car manufacturer in India. The Kushaq is a very important product for Skoda as it is their first offering under the new India 2.0 Project. Now, that it has been launched in the Indian market, we bring to you the First Look Review of the new 2021 Skoda Kushaq. Is it the best mid-size SUV for enthusiasts? Let's find out.

2021 Skoda Kushaq - Looks and Colour Options

The new Skoda Kushaq is a stunning looking mid-size SUV. At the front, it gets Skoda's signature butterfly grille with chrome accents flanked by all-LED headlights and integrated LED DRLs. The side profile of the Kushaq houses 17-inch machined-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, etc. At the rear, the SUV gets LED taillights, a sharkfin antenna and bold SKODA lettering on the tailgate. It also gets skid plates at the front and rear with body cladding all-around. The new Skoda Kushaq is available in five colour options. They are Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Honey Orange and Tornado Red.

2021 Skoda Kushaq - Engine and Transmission Options

The all-new 2021 Skoda Kushaq is available with two BS6 compliant turbo petrol engines. The first one is a 1.0-litre TSI that churns out 115 PS of max. power and 175 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 1.5-litre TSI that churns out 150 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both the mills come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and while the 1.0-litre TSI also gets a 6-speed AT, the 1.5-litre TSI gets a 7-speed DSG too. The 1.5-litre TSI of the Kushaq gets cylinder deactivation technology too for better fuel efficiency.

2021 Skoda Kushaq - Features and Safety Equipment

The Skoda Kushaq is a very feature-loaded mid-size SUV. It gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with Skoda's SmartLink tech, 6-speakers, a wireless smartphone charger, a new two-spoke steering wheel, an electric sunroof and Skoda's Climatronic system among many others. The safety features of the Skoda Kushaq include upto six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors with a rear parking camera, TPMS, MCB, HHC, ROP and many more.

2021 Skoda Kushaq - Variants, Price and Rivals

The new 2021 Skoda Kushaq has been launched in India in three variants. They are Active, Ambition and Style. The Skoda Kushaq has been priced in India between Rs 10.49 lakhs - Rs 17.59 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. At this price point, the newly launched Kushaq directly rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, etc. However, indirectly it also rivals the likes of the MG Hector, Mahindra XUV500 and Tata Harrier, etc.
