2023 Skoda Enyaq iV has been spied on yet again in India. This time, the showroom-ready model was spied at a charging station in Pune.

A few days ago we reported that the 2023 Skoda Enyaq iV can possibly launch in India soon. In lieu of this, the car has been spied on in India at a charging station. 2023 Skoda Enyaq iV Details

Enyaq is a global product that sells in good numbers for the company. It is offered in a total of 5 variants that include - 50,60,70,80,80X. The car spied in India looks like an imported 80X variant. However, the TC plates on it with MH registration possibly mean that Skoda has brought it for final road testing ahead of the official launch. Meanwhile, the spied model is seen in a dark blue paint shade. The test car is being charged at a fast charging station along with Tata Nexon EV.

Speaking of the Enyaq, it is a mid-size premium EV from Skoda. If it is launched in India, its direct rivals will include KIA EV6 & the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Meanwhile, its overall design resembles that of the ICE SUVs like Kodiaq from the brand. However, the most interesting bit of it is not its looks but the battery pack & performance. Skoda uses a big 77kWh battery on the 80X variant. Hence, this variant has a long driving range of up to 580 km per charge. Additionally, the peak power made by this setup is up to 265 bhp.

On the other hand, the Enyaq iV can be charged from 0-80 percent in just 38 minutes with a 125kW DC charger. Speaking of its performance, the iV can do 0-60 kmph in just 6.9 seconds. This makes it one of the fastest EVs in the world. However, performance is just one aspect of it. The cabin, space, & ride experience of the Enyaq is said to be segment-best in global markets.

Verdict

Skoda has not released any details about the Enyaq or the plans of launching it in India. However, our sources have been telling us that the premium EV is on the verge of India's debut. The recent spy shots prove that the Enyaq iV will be launched in India sooner than we expect. Team 91Wheels suspects that this EV may get launched in India as soon as early 2023. Its expected pricing will remain in the likes of Rs 50-60 lakh (ex-showroom).
