The Jeep Meridian, the 7-seater version of the Jeep Compass, has been updated with new features and variants and has been launched at a starting price of Rs 24.99 lakh. This luxury SUV has become more affordable with this update, and several new popular features have been added. In total, there are 4 variants, with the top one costing Rs 36.49 lakh ex-showroom. 4 Variants - New Starting Price
The new Jeep Meridian comes with a revised set of variants, and surprisingly, this vehicle starts at Rs 24.99 lakh for the new base Longitude variant. This is big news, as the Meridian previously started at Rs 31.23 lakh ex-showroom. Highlight of this new variant is the all-new 5-seater configuration, which wasn't available earlier. Moving on to other trims, there are Longitude Plus (7 seater), Limited (O), and Overland. According to the press release, these prices are set for a limited time, and Jeep may revise them in the coming months.

- Limited (O) - Rs 30.49 lakh

Features
This is a mid-life cycle update, so new features are expected, and Jeep has enhanced the safety features by including ADAS Level 2, which comes with 70+ active and passive safety features. Additionally, there is Alexa integration for a seamless experience, offering 30+ features. The interior features two screens: a 10.25-inch MID and a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen infotainment screen, both equipped with built-in navigation and smartphone wireless connectivity.

Design Of The 2025 Jeep Meridian
This model of Jeep Meridian is completely identical to the outgoing model and there are very subtle changes, which one will notice upon a closer inspection. Still, the main attraction remains the seven slots of signature grille, unified LED headlamps and trapezoidal wheel arches are all same as before.
The interior now features vegan leather treatment in the base Longitude variant, along with visible copper stitching. Premium soft-touch materials and the modern design create an elegant look as soon as you step inside.
Engine
2.0L turbocharged diesel, knows for its sheer power and fuel efficiency is the heart of Jeep Meridian. It produces 170 HP and 350 Nm of torque and send power to rear wheels or all four wheels via 9-speed automatic torque converter. Talking about the mileage, customers can enjoy 16.25 kmpl of mileage on a light foot.

Verdict
After the revised pricing, it is difficult to compare this vehicle to the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster, as it has now entered the territory of the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700. Additionally, Jeep's current status in India is quite poor, as sales continue to decline, and there are no signs of them getting back on track anytime soon. Let's hope the new Meridian does something positive for the company here.
