Citroen C3X Launch Around Mid-2024
Citroen India is gearing up to introduce its fifth model in the Indian market. This upcoming vehicle, which is a coupe-SUV based on the C3 Aircross platform, has been previously reported. Aditya Jairaj, CEO and MD of Stellantis India, has now stated that information about the new product will be revealed "in a couple of weeks." Considering these statements, Citroen C3X, a rival to Tata Curvv can be expected to to launch in mid-2024.
The upcoming C3X presents a fresh interpretation of the sedan body style, featuring a coupe-like roofline, and a crossover-inspired design with robust body cladding all around. The company plans to label it as an 'SUV-coupe' to establish a distinctive position within its segment. Built on the C-Cubed platform, which also underpins the C3, eC3, and C3 Aircross, the Citroen C3X will share numerous components, powertrains, and equipment to manage costs effectively.
More Features, Right Off The Bat
The upcoming C3X will ditch the initial feature-light approach and go all-in from the get-go. This is something that has been a talking point in the past as well. Expect features like electric folding mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless charging, LED headlamps, push-button start, and keyless entry - all potentially standard features on the C3X.

Expected Powertrain: Following ICE, EV In Foresight
The Citroen C3X is expected to pack the 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine churning out 110 horsepower, paired with either a manual or a torque converter automatic transmission. Electrification is on the horizon too, with an all-electric version expected to arrive roughly six months after the ICE model's debut.
Indian Launch
Citroen is anticipated to unveil the C3X around June-July 2024, with the launch expected a few months afterward. The electric variant of the crossover sedan is expected to arrive by January or February 2025.
