Nissan C-SUV Spotted Up Close

The recently spotted test mule of the upcoming Nissan SUV was heavily camouflaged. Despite the wrap, the exterior design looks promising, featuring a rear spoiler, 225/60 R17 tyres, and a muscular stance. The wheels were fitted with covers, suggesting this could be a mid-spec variant. Interestingly, though, the test mule was equipped with a rear wiper and washer. The real highlight, however, was the interior, spotted for the first time and revealing several new details.

The interior features a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, and the buttons appear to be new, offering a premium look compared to those in the Magnite. Another highlight is the cruise control stalk positioned behind the steering wheel. The SUV also gets manual climate control with visible knobs, which suggests it is likely a mid-spec variant. Interestingly, it still features a digital instrument console and a height-adjustable drivers seat, even at this trim level.

Other expected features include a large infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher variants are likely to offer automatic climate control, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and a 360-degree camera, among other features, to deliver a more premium cabin experience.

The brands new C-SUV will be built on the CMF-B platform and is expected to offer both naturally aspirated (NA) petrol and turbo petrol engine options, with manual and automatic transmission choices available. While the exact engine specifications remain undisclosed, the vehicle appears promising and is expected to offer a range of powertrain options.
Verdict
Nissan India's upcoming compact SUV appears to be a promising addition to both the Indian market and Nissan's portfolio. The interior seems to offer a premium feel, and with the mid-spec variant already loaded with decent features, we can anticipate the top-spec version to include even more premium offerings. Given the rising competition in the segment, the Nissan SUV is expected to be a strong rival.
